Kinesiopractor® Profile - Erin Davis | originally by the ICPKP Webmaster 5:20 PM, 28 May 2015 NZST last edited 3:17 PM, 17 June 2016 NZST | Erin Davis, Kinesiopractor® Having completed the Graduate Diploma of Kinesiopractic® in 2013, Erin Davis is one of the most highly qualified Professional Kinesiologists and Kinesiopractors® in the US and is forging an exciting career focusing on women's health. She says,
"Over the last couple of years I have been shifting my focus as a general Kinesiopractor® into women’s health, with a specialty in the area of pre-conception, conception, pregnancy, and postpartum.
"I have applied PKP to help women achieve healthy sexuality, resolve fertility issues (including cases where conventional medical treatment was unsuccessful, eg. IVF and IUI), and helped women adapt to the physical, mental and emotional changes of pregnancy in healthy and comfortable ways. PKP works wonderfully to help women resolve some of the common pregnancy complaints such as hip/pelvic discomfort, morning sickness, anxiety around labor, etc. The pelvic floor protocols have also been great with this client group, to help them prepare for labor and for resolving stress incontinence and restoring healthy sexual and bladder function after delivery.
"I also became certified as a HypnoBirthing® practitioner, providing private and group classes to help women and their birth partners experience calm, empowering births. I am also undertaking certifications to become a childbirth educator as well as a Pre and Perinatal Psychology Educator which educates parents about the period of time from before conception and through pregnancy, birth and early parenting which lays the blueprint upon which that human being will experience health and emotionally act out his/her life. These skills are a wonderful fit with the PKP protocols and has helped my clients to connect with their babies in the womb and assisted them to build strong, healthy families.
"I have been invited to teach a kinesiology workshop in Tennessee in Nov 2015 at The Farm Midwifery Center. Ina May Gaskin is one of the midwives from this center and she and her team are leaders in the natural birthing movement and they have one of the lowest rates for intervention amongst their birthing mothers. It is quite an honor, as this is a very well known and respected midwifery group that people travel all across the USA to birth in their birthing units. I am teaching a K-Power class for midwives, doulas, childbirth educators, prenatal fitness instructors etc. I am targeting the workshop for those professionals that work with women during their pregnancy so they can learn some very beneficial skills to share with their pregnant clients. One more way to help spread kinesiology skills!"
