last edited 5:37 PM, 20 April 2009 NZST | Ken Campbell, President of the ICPKP Accredited College, the International College of Healing Arts (ICOHA) and Erin Davis, Student Faculty at ICOHA were guests of the radio talk show Global Medicine Review on WBAI, a popular New York station, which broadcasts both on the air and on the web.

Global Medicine Review is dedicated to exploring topics of interest in medicine, health, and healing. It is hosted by Dr Kamau Kokayi, a Yale Medical School Graduate who has worked in private practice as a holistic physician for over 20 years. He also has formal training in Applied Kinesiology (AK), acupuncture, and homeopathy. His co-host Faybiene Miranda, is a published poet, lyricist and performer. She is highly regarded for her community based participation, activism and involvement with communities in NY.
Dr Kokayi opens with a brilliant introduction to kinesiology and his use of AK in his medical practice, helping his listeners gain an understanding of the origins and evolution of kinesiology from his "chiropractic cousins". Which then leads to a discussion of the history and evolution from AK to Touch for Health to ICPKP (and an "alphabet soup" of others after that).
The discussion that follows provides a well rounded overview of the ICPKP system and several examples of it's use. Points discussed included the academic validity of ICPKP programs, universality of the finger modes, several examples of the framework of how kinesiolgy works, and how it can be used as a holistic tool to identify imbalances in the biochemical, structural, energetic and spiritual areas. Ken and Erin were able to illustrate how ICPKP teaches people to be professional practitioners in a usable system that produces tangible results. Faybiene was able to sum up kinesiolgy succinctly and beautifully with her poem "Kinesiolo-What?" which she reads live at the end of the program.

So willing to reflect
Within each and every muscle
Be it bicep or triceps
Be it cardiac, abductor
Or gluteus maximus
These untold stories
Await a chance to
Free us from the pain
If only we would listen
We would have so much to gain
How do we educate ourselves?
To languages within
The mother tongue of our own bodies
Inviting us “Come in”
Resistance is so commonplace
We do it everyday
We arm ourselves against ourselves
Embroiling us in pain
Just listen to the answers
As they float before your eyes
Your body is the mirror
Of a thousand recollections
Housed in the muscle’s mind
Amidst the many roadblocks
That you suffer without gain
Kinesiology may be the ticket
