testing RhomboidsIf you're an experienced kinesiology practitioner, have a passion for kinesiology and a desire to pass that passion on to a new generation of practitioners, then becoming an ICPKP Accredited Faculty Member could be your ideal next career step.

There are three Faculty levels each of which require completion of an intensive Faculty Admission Course (FAC) and meeting specific requirements. Completing each FAC allows you to teach up to a certain level of the ICPKP Diploma.

Faculty Admission Courses (FAC)

FAC I - to become a Faculty Member

Covers the Basic Kinesiology Principles (BKP 101-110) and the first two level-2 units (RBT 201, EMS 201).
After attending the FAC I workshop you are then able to enter into a contract with ICPKP to become a member of the ICPKP Faculty. As an ICPKP Faculty Member you are then able to teach the four Certificates listed below by either becoming a teacher for:
  • an existing RTO or one of its Campuses (in Australia or New Zealand only)
    • Two RTOs exist: KSA & ICPKP Australasia
  • entering into an affiliation agreement with ICPKP Australasia as an Instructor.
  • an ICPKP affiliated college in countries where no National Qualifications in Kinesiology exist.
Faculty Members are permitted to teach:
  • International Certificate in self-Care
    • BKP 101
  • International Certificate in Kinesiology 4 Wellness
    • Comprises BKP 101 - 105
  • International Certificate in Basic Kinesiology Principles
    • Comprises the ICPKP units BKP 101 - 110.
  • International Certificate in Professional Kinesiology Practice
    • Includes 12 ICPKP units and 10 KPAB training standards.
    • KPAB training standards comply with Australian National Qualification HLT42807, being the Certificate IV in Kinesiology
    • Local country teaching legislation may apply.
      • e.g. you need a TAA or TIE in Australia
      • you need to be part of an RTO in Australia or New Zealand.

FAC II - to become a Professional Faculty Member

Covers the two year Diploma programme.
Upon completion of FAC II you will be able to teach an additional 20 ICPKP Diploma modules.

FAC III - to become a Senior Faculty Member

Covers the remaining level-3 units and the advanced level-4 units of the old (pre-July 2010) International Diploma programme.
Upon completion and achieving Senior Faculty status you will be able to teach the Vocational Graduate Diploma in Kinesiopractic®, with the exception of the A&P and some OCT units.

Pre-requisites for Faculty Training

The requirements you must fulfil in order to attend a Faculty Training Course and be certified as an ICPKP Faculty Member vary slightly according to your previous PKP study and clinical work.

ICPKP Students may attend FAC I after their first year of study if they:
  • have completed these ICPKP Certificate units:
    • BKP 101-110
    • EMS 201
    • RBT 201
  • Have passed the web exams for the above workshops with at least an 80% pass mark.
  • Have the recommendation of their college.
  • Have completed MST 201 and PIB 203 diploma units
  • Complete the required attendance documentation and gain admission from ICPKP.
If you studied Kinesiology under the old PKP I-IV system, you must:
  • Have completed PKP I - PKP III
  • Have passed the Proficiency Exams for PKP I - III
    • We can arrange for you to complete these
  • Have been practicing clinically as a kinesiologist for at least 2 years
  • Have reviewed the ICPKP's ten Basic Kinesiology Principles workshops
    • BKP 101-110
  • Have taken four ICPKP workshops:
    • EMS 201
    • RBT 201
    • MST 201
    • PIB 203
  • Have passed the web exams for the above workshops with at least an 80% pass mark.
