Tim Gurney awarded an OBE

On 12 July 2006, Tim Gurney was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Tim's wife, Denise Gurney, is an ICPKP Senior Faculty member and founded The Rock Institute of Kinesiology while Tim was serving as Deputy Governor of Bermuda.

Denise and their children, Kate and Tom, accompanied Tim to Buckingham Palace to receive his OBE, awarded in the New Year's Honour's List. Tim has recently had the post of Deputy Ambassador in Afghanistan and is now the Deputy High Commissioner to Australia.
