Matthew Thie's Metaphors Instructor-Training Workshop

The TFH Metaphor Instructor's Certification Course was developed in response to TFH Instructors' desire to have a specific certificate authorizing their teaching of the TFH Metaphor Workshop, and to provide greater competence and confidence for TFH Instructors who wish to add the Metaphor course to their program of instruction, as well as establish and maintain consistency in the course content.

The TFH Metaphor Workshops are designed to reinforce and enrich the standard TFH curriculum, resulting in a deeper understanding and more skillful application of TFH in general, and in particular, enhanced skills and tools for creative dialogue and visualization as part of the TFH Energy Balancing Process. Participants will improve the quality and enjoyment of their TFH interactions, and find their sessions more effective, meaningful and lasting.

The TFH Metaphor Workshop counts as an Update for Registered TFH Instructors when it is taught be Matthew Thie or another IKC Faculty Member.

IKC Registered TFH Instructors who have attended a TFH Metaphor Workshop are eligible to attend the Metaphor Instructor's Course. Currently, any TFH Instructor who has attended the TFH Metaphor Workshop with Matthew Thie or another IKC Faculty/Trainer, and repeated the course with any eligible TFH instructor may teach the TFH Metaphor Workshop. As the availability increases of the TFH Metaphor Instructor's course (assuming sufficient Faculty/TFH Instructor Trainers add a Metaphor Instructor's course to their schedules) the TFH Instructor's course will become the requirement.

The course will provide additional time for Practice of the Metaphor Protocols, with peer observation and feedback relating to Goal-Setting, Metaphor Questions, Communication and Interview Skills, Time management, and appropriate counselling skills in the context of the TFH Self-Responsibility model. Discussion/Activities will also include a review of the Metaphor Seminar Syllabus and Required Teaching Materials, appropriate and inappropriate variations, contexts and methods for presenting the TFH Metaphor class, enhancement of standard TFH I-IV protocol through Metaphor, and use of the eTouch computer program for teaching, training, balancing with the TFH Metaphors.
